Thank you! I have never touched one of the vipers so I have no idea how it feels but I agree, it does look rough.

Thanks!! I am just now attempting to photograph the venomous snakes. Non of our nonvenomous would sit still long enough.

No. Not all venomous snakes are so calm. Arboreal vipers are generally more docile and happy to hang out on their branches. The arboreals born here (many generations captive born) are calmer than those in the wild.

In our part of Texas, diamond back rattlesnakes are fairly common. They will try to get away from you but will strike if cornered!

In England i saw my share of grass snales and adders i loved hunting around for them and lizards hehe
