Description Originally posted: 26 March, 2008. An important picture, in my opinion, as this was my first attempt to get into a more Disney sort of style.

There are so many other actually important things I should've been drawing...

I watched Enchanted the other day. Now, before anyone laughs or anything, lemme say it's probably the best parody of the Disney films that my generation was raised on. I'd honestly say it's probably a better parody than even the first Shrek film. Shrek was very much the anti-fantasy. This was a cliche Disney production just playing itself out to its silliest.

So, I figured, like any good cartoonist, I had to take a shot at drawing something a bit more Disney in nature. First person to call me "princess" gets a combat boot sandwich!

Besides, it's all done in my own idiom. Scary forest, warlock's fortress, ominous clouds...

I actually own that dress. Although the silver embroidery is far more elaborate in real life. It's pretty.
