P E R S O N A L I T Y:
Despite never being allowed to do anything due to his rigorous practice schedule, Ji-yoon enjoys interacting with other poeple. However, he does hold a sense of a traditional behavior and can be worried about doing things spontaneously. It is easy to convince him though if there's a little push.
He is naturally a compassionate and cheerful character sometimes to the point of seeming a tad childish but is modest when it comes to himself, not really one to flaunt his skills or talk about himself much. Both praise and criticism equally make him uncomfortable.

H I S T O R Y:
Born to a high-society family where his father was a popular composer, Ji-yoon was surrounded by both music and high expectations. Once it was clear that the boy had talent, his father trained and polished im onto a path of becoming a professional. Even though all Ji-yoon was allowed to do was practice, he didn't mind it because he loved playing and performing so much and respected his father.
However, as he got older, he started to wonder whether he really wanted to keep playing or not. Often he would have to refuse offers to hang out with friends, knowing that he had to stick to his father's practice schedule. Jiyoon's father wasn't an easy-going instructor either, a mistake would be met with a lot of scolding and dissaproval. All his father cared about was that Ji-yoon become a prodigy and uphold the family name. Many times he thought of quitting, however once he got on stage, that feeling would dissapear.
The older Ji-yoon got, the harder his father would be on him, never once giving him true praise. Even though admireres and fans would praise his talent, he didn't feel as though it meant anything. Soon the thought of quitting grew stronger even when he was on stage. During a concert on his 17th birthday. Ji-yoon performed flawlessly and was applauded with a standing ovation, however the boy felt alone on the vast stage. The audience just seemed like a deep black wall far from his reach. Upon returning home, his father said nothing about his performance as usual, only pointing out things that had to be improved.
That night, alone in his room. Ji-yoon held his violin in his lap. Wiping the rosin from its strings and adjusting the tuning. He tightened the grip on the neck, but released after a few moments and sighed.
"I really can't give up on it."
In that moment, he saw a faint light enter his vision.
Additional Info:
- He brought his violin with him to the island, for some reason he kept a hold of it.
- Back home he didn't really go out much other than to social parties for an older generation, concerts, or school; so the interaction on the island will be something completely new to him.
