(Click 'Download' to see the picture in full-size)Fanart for (aka Hearts of Eternity on FanFiction.Net)'s Transformers fanfiction, As We Come Together.
In the story, Shockwave is trying to figure out a way to create new sparks without the Allspark. He works with the Fallen, kidnapping Autobots/Decepticons/Neutrals randomly and doing all kinds of horrendous experiments on them. Most bots die pretty soon during the surgery.
Elita luckily survives the first few experiments, but it also means she has to endure more tortures and pain in the future. She is locked up in a cell, and will be dragged into the surgery room whenever Shockwave feels like running some new tests on her broken body and her ruined spark...
As usual, I drew these characters as humans because I don't know how to draw their frames in movieverse style. Elita's human form is based on ThornQueen 's art work.
As to Shockwave's human version, at first I planned to give him an emotionless mad scientist look, but then he ended up looking like Frankenstein or some horrible monster... Not a bad thing, though, since he's meant to look scary and cruel here.

Wow...This picture's amazing. I wanna read that fanfic now. Also, you did such justice to Shockwave as a human. He looks so creepy. Fitting of a guy who got voted 3rd favorite villian from any series(Red skull and Voldemort were in front of him). He looks emotionless and cold.
Also, feel so sorry for Elita. Hope someone saves her.

That story's pretty long too. It'd take a awhile to read it. But it's clearly got him in character. I think the one time I seen he's shown emotion was in a IDW comic I got where he gets PISSED and beat the crud out of the dinobots.
I'm not sure where it is but I heard it from someone else here.But I'm pretty curious about it too since Shockwave actually beat Megatron out in that survey.

Shockwave's one of my favorites next to Soundwave. He's after getting Cybertron repaired instead of following Megatron in a fight against the autobots.

....Oh, darn. That was a very inelegant statement hardly fitting for a comment on a piece of work on this magnitude...you definitely totally captured one of my FAVORITE subplots of this story. It's hard to hate Shockwave...he's just too interesting and complex a character. At the same time, though, I sincerely hope that we get a nice scene with Optimus ripping the pooter head limb from limb before scooping up Elita and striding off, leaving the Fallen's ship a burning ruin behind him....MUAHAHAHAH....

I am so sorry that it has taken me over a month to write a comment for this. I feel so horrible for making you wait this long >.< Please forgive me *grovel*
When you first posted this, I was in absolute awe of it. The moment I read the title and saw the small version of it in my inbox, I knew what it was. I had an inkling of something beforehand when I saw that you had put me on the list on your To Do list for fanart, but when the actual piece came about... Wow I just couldn't believe how amazing it looked. I probably ended up staring at it for a full 30 minutes just trying to wrap my mind around it. The artistry of it, how haunting the tone it, the way that dark and light contrasts so well in the two panels... You have taken my breath away by this. I'll probably end up saying this repeatedly throughout this comment, but thank you so much for this piece of fanart! You are one of the most amazing women I know~ 
Starting with the first panel... Oh my god. Elita looks so broken. It breaks my heart to see her like that... all discarded on the floor, ripped up and left to the cold. Even if this is taken from my own story, seeing the visual representation of the words is such a... humbling experience. Power have a really powerful gift to take a written work and create an illustration for it that captures the mood of the writing perfectly. In this case, I think you do an even better job of creating the cold, haunting, hopeless situation Elita One is in that I have. I want to cry for her here... Who knows what Shockwave has put her through? Her body looks freshly dumped on the floor, so she could be back fresh from a recent round of experimental torture. Poor thing. 
And Shockwave is just standing there: that cold, sparkless monster! >.<
He truly looks the part of a monstrous scientist here. I think you've humanized him perfectly- he's in the shape of a human, but there's something about him that remains.. completely inhuman. Just like his self in the series- he's a Cybertronian, but he certainly doesn't act like one at all. He's just a monster.
That eye of his... I get the shivers when I look into it. That unnatural yellow light, and its black all the way around it. It's not a normal eye at all, just like he's not a normal mech at all. It's like there's nothing beyond it. He has this cold, calculating expression about him, but there's absolutely no hint of a conscience as he looks at Elita. He just sees her as this piece of material that he's free to mess with.

I was a little worried when I first posted it, actually — I remember you dislike the sparkless scientist with a passion, and I just drew a WE fanart which has this cruel mech you hate in it.
And I wanna thank you for writing such amazing fictions. Your stories have become the main inspiration of my Transformers fanart, you surely did a wonderful job on depicting the characters' personalities. Keep up the good work, hon! You rock!

There was absolutely nothing to be worried about: anything that you draw is bound to be loved immensely. Remember when you were worried that you would scare me silly when you posted that Megatron-hold-baby-Sideswipe pic? You didn't freak me out then, and you're not scaring me away with your Shockwave now. 
Believe me when I say, Shockwave in the story is going to get exactly what he deserves.

Oh where to begin? Shockwave looks incredible. You can't see any emotion coming off of him except a bit of curiosity that every scientist has, and the look of a mech that has spilled blood. I'm absolutely sure that Elita is trying to stay strong, but is scared out of her wits. Optimus, hurry up and come save your spark-mate! No matter how cruel he may look at the moment, I still adore him. The Frankenstein-like appearance really speaks layers about him.
Elita looks so helpless lying there on the floor. I can't help but feel sorry for the femme and I can only hope that she gets back up on her feet and fight. He really is frightening in the story isn't he?
Another dark picture, but beautifully done nonetheless. I can't wait to see more and I'll be sure to be on DA more after school burns down in summer vacation.

Shockwave is pretty scary in that fanfic, I admit. Well, he's also kind of scary in the original series since he lacks of emotions and always thinks and acts according to pure logic, which made him become a rather cruel character sometimes. But even though he's such an intimidating 'Con, I still love him nonetheless. Jeez, I think I really have a thing for bad boys or something like that...

It seems so! Very creepy scientist esque! He does lack a lot of emotion, especially in the G1 series. I'm not surprised that he's such a logical person, because he's a scientist and all, but then again, that can make him more cruel than usual. Same here! No matter how bad the bad guys are, you still can't help but like them! It's quite odd, but I don't question it too much!

Shockwave is just Frankenstein with a lip ring, never actually thought of him wearing one but it works, and a golden eye and scared face? God. He's just plain evil, but I personally like this look since well, it's just him. Is is wrong to say that he's hot too? Wow, just wow.
And Elita...Her pose, clothing, stripped of all her power to save herself, seeing her tortured like this, it's really aching my heart. Poor femme.
