Have you been to Lion Claws in CA? That's the only place I've seen a literal airsoft tank (well, an APC, anyways - similar to this one: www.militaryimages.net/photopo⦠.

No they didnt go far enough. I have seen an actual armored car with a Airsoft minigun and the side firing ports so everyone can ride and shoot at once.

...was there rules for disabling the vehicle at least..? I can't imagine that would be fun for others..unless it could be taken out by an RPG, a few grenades, etc.. but COOL!!Β

Yeah. They had impact targets that if shot a certain number of times released a wail witch meant that part was broken. The turret was breakable and so were the side ports. If all of them were broken then they had to exit the vehicle. Both teams had one so it was pretty fair.

..ok, that would be pretty cool. The closest thing I know to that, is at LionClaws. It's a huge airsofting event in California at a retired military base. Real military commanders head each side, and people show up in the thousands! They have several M293s for transport each year, and a decomissioned APC! It's sick, from what I've seen. I've not been able to go yet, but I hope to one day, when I can save the $600-800 for the trip, food, and admission.

Yeah it would be awesome. The one i saw was a Airsoft and Paintball sponsored battlefield in Mississippi. It was awesome. the vehicles belonged to the fields owner and each team was volunteers that brought their own gear or rented gear from the owner.Β

Your idea? plates to guard the driver/second gunner? Automatic Grenade Launchers? Artillery in tow? There's a lot that could be done. But for a basic backyard skirmish...this approaches "Overkill" - approaches because there is not such thing. There is only "open fire" and "time to reload."
