African elephant Loxodonta africana6B graphite pencil. 785mm x 548mm.
This drawing is one in a series of 20 illustrations of savannah animals, all drawn in the same scale. They are printed as a decoration on a shielding. The shielding is hiding an adjacent railroad from public view in Rotterdam Zoo.

Actually, I never heard of him, I had to look him up now youยดve mentioned him (apparently I know his dinosaur-illustrations). I only use photo's as a reference, no paintings and other illustrations. And thanks!

Yeah, but after two days of "wrinkle drawing" I had enough of it! And the drawing took me at least 6 days or so...

I've always wanted to try doing an elephant in graphite but the wrinkles kind of push me away. xD
