It is indeed a scan. However the photo isn't old, it was taken with an 11 year old camera, my faithful Pentax I developed all of the black and white photos in my gallery myself in quite a dusty darkroom, which is why there are some spots.

Afterthoughts is a great title as it leaves quite a bit up to the imagination of the observer yet still hints at a feeling like regret when paired with the picture, the mood is set really well by the grayscle.
