It was like waking up. A few minutes ago he was at a social event talking to strangers to pass time, now he was trailing numb paws through the blanket of snow. He wasn't even sure if he could remember leaving.
He exhaled, watching the tiny flecks of snow drift through the air like silver glitter in the moonlight. Peering up at the dark canvas above him, the clouds made the sky look like a void, empty of the stars it once owned. It filled him with a melancholy feeling, the empty look of it all, but he caught sight of a small break in the clouds. Alphonse couldn't see the stars at first, but then a glimmer of light caught his attention. At first he thought it was a shooting star, until it broke past the clouds, shimmering across the dark blanket and coming closer and closer to the trees beneath before rising again. It even passed over his head, a silhouette falling on him before it shot away into the clouds in another direction, leaving Alphonse in confusion.
Had he truly just seen a sleigh?

I know the prompt centered around Noel but I just wanted something christmassy, and I'm not too bothered if it doesn't count because it was super fun ;3c Plus a chance to try out a couple things and I just really enjoyed this!!!
