Hello!
This year I've decided to join the Junicorn challenge. But I also felt inspired to create a whole story for this occasion with illustrations (as if painting 31 illustrations wasn't hard enough XD).
If you're into fantasy stories, maybe you can give this one a read <3

P.S. I wanted to post one chapter and one illustration per day throughout June, (since Junicorn means posting one unicorn art a day) however, I haven't finished writing the story and painting illustarions so there probably will be some delays. Nevertheless, I hope you'll enjoy this little project of mine and let's jump into the prologue!

The Dragon Unicorn - PrologueSomewhere far beyond the limits of imagination on an unknown land, that will never know the existence of an ordinary man, there is a vast forest. The crowns of its trees intertwine their branches in the shape of a vault and the trunks form a network of countless corridors. The forest is home to many creatures and beings, but the most numerous group inhabiting this part of this unknown land are unicorns. Hence, this forest is called the Unicorn Forest. Although it hides many interesting and mysterious places, our attention should be drawn to the Unicorn Glade, and in particular, the Tree of Birth, located on its edge, towering high above the forest. Under the flowing down to the ground branches of the Tree, in its very heart something extraordinary will happen in a moment. Another unicorn will come into the world. Through the cracks of the trunk, you can see a gently shining light, the air around is filled with the scent of flowers, and a vibration permeates through the space. The protective Spirit inhabiting the Tree silently flows through the leafy branches and slowly pushes them aside, revealing the largest crevice of the tree, where a tiny unicorn with wings wings covered with soft down lies peacefully. To the delight of the unicorns gathered around, he slowly opens his eyes and raises his head, looking at the surroundings with curiosity. The Tree of Birth gives life not only to unicorns, but also to Siffas, small creatures that carry the Tree's seeds within them. Sometimes it happens that between Siffa and a newborn unicorn an extremely strong bond is created, connecting these two creatures for life. Will this also be the case here? Hmm, nothing is happening, so probably not this time. Wait! Doesn't a little head peek out from between the branches? Yes, it's Siffa now flying cheerfully towards the unicorn and placing a kiss on its horn. They will be inseparable from now on. The birth of a unicorn is always an incredible and joyful event. Now he will be taken care of by other members of the herd and little Siffa. So, let's wish this little one good luck and hope that there are no dragon wings under the fluff of feathers, because the life of the Dragon Unicorns, due to the great power of fire they wield, entails an even greater burden. Those who fail to control their abilities go insane and become evil. As they say about these unicorns: "No one is as cruel or as kind-hearted as the Dragon Unicorn.",
