Reminiscent of both current Australian and Australian Aborigines flags, and also the national Australian colors (green and gold). Although reminiscent of Aborigine flag, it doesn't included its colors, following the desire of many Australian native chiefs. The Commonwealth star still appear on Southern Cross, why duplicate it?Related content

The Commonwealth Star represents the union of the former colonies as a new addition to the old constellation of the Southern Cross, and therefore is very important, especially to those (such as myself) who uphold the true meaning of the Commonwealth and the Crowned Republic of Australia.

Yes, I know it, but I think having the Commonwealth Star both isolated and in Southern Cross is a bit unnecessary.

It is very necessary, the Commonwealth Star is the symbol of the Nation as a new unity; it would be like me saying that the Brazilian flag doesn't need the banner "Ordem e Progresso" because that isn't actually in the night sky... Also the stars of the Southern Cross are not the Commonwealth Star, they are only seven pointed to avoid confusion with the Victorian State Flag.

Actually, there's a long campaign to remove the "Ordem e Progresso", since the very first day it was added, and there are law projects related to it circulating in the Parliament even on our days; same about night sky. I just don't like duplicated symbolism, sorry.

Interesting. I heard a lot about the issue of Australia flag. I would like that they chage their flag to something like this, is refreshing.
But, there is something that I think didn't finish to fit in there, I don't know what can be, maybe the diagonal line with the star. I love the design but I think this one can be improved. Hope you don't take badly.
