Description Here is the finished monster.

I'M FINALLY LEARNING TO WIG GUYS

I wound up tinting the white parts of hair to a buttercream color using fabric paint, after heat-sealing the blue dye. I'll probably make a tutorial for that, because I'm pretty sure that no one else has really come up with a good fabric paint method for wigs. It doesn't really affect the texture of the wig, and when brushed in with a toothbrush, it produces lowlights and highlights like real hair. I did this because the other dye methods I tried resulted in an extremely unnatural yellow.

OH, and the base wig was an Arda Ferrari in F18 (pure white)
for the longer one, I used an Arda Luthien in F18.

I also redid my post-time skip Nia wig using this exact method, but it's impossible to photograph it on me without help. It looks exactly the same, colorwise, so use your imagination.

As for makeup, BEHOLD THE POWER OF FALSE EYELASHES.
The hardest part is getting the light wig to match up well with my skin, since I'm naturally dark-haired. I also didn't bother coloring the eyebrows, because they're usually hidden behind the bangs. That being said, in the show, her eyebrows are black, probably because she's a weird test tube baby.

I couldn't get the whole wig in the shot because I suck hard at taking pictures of myself. This seriously took me like 20 minutes, because I'm such a failure. I failed myspace back in the day, which shouldn't be physically possible.

Anyways, this entire outfit is like 90% done, so pics will be up soon.

If you have any critique or recommendations for this, THEN FIRE AWAY!

This wig is very very pretty<3
I gotta say, i do love the yellow tint to the wig, I don't know this character but i've seen a lot of cosplays for her, and i really do like your wig the best. I'm so amazed by how beautiful and even the dye job on the wig is! I've love to see your methods for it, Never know how to approach dyeing wigs.

But beautiful job, and your cosplay has turned out very nicely <3

Thank you, and I'll do my best to explain it here.
For the blue, I just colored the wig with a sharpie. It was that simple, and I was just careful to do it evenly. Then, I heat-sealed it by throwing it out in the july sun for a few hours (you don't normally need to heat-seal the sharpie, but Arda's wigs are difficult about it)

The yellow was a lot of experiment. To get that exact shade, I mixed six drops of linen-colored soft-finish fabric paint and two drops of yellow soft-finish fabric paint in a coffee cup with water. Then I brushed it all in with a toothbrush.

I can try and make a photo tutorial if you want <3

But yeah, I feel ya. Dyeing wigs is just...uughghghghgh XD
