That's right.  Odin was actually one of several non-Christian inspirations for the modern iteration of Santa Claus.  During the longest night of the year, Odin would lead a hunting party across the sky, his chariot pulled by Loki's horse son, Sleipnir.  To be quite honest, I would be terrified of flying through the air with an eight-legged horse pulling me around at top speeds too.

Wow, just...wow. Too much awesome to explain by myself. I love how Loki looks so freaked out and Thor's just "THIS IS AMAZING!" and Odin doesn't even seem to notice, and just flies on like this is the best thing ever XD
