Description
This is the SR-71 Blackbird in the Udvar-Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum. This plane was filmed as 'Jetfire' in the Transformers movie 'Return of The Fallen,' and several scenes from the movie were filmed in this museum.Enjoy!
Note to anyone who wants to know the best time of year to visit this museum: winter. We were there during President's Day weekend and that, I suspect, may have been the busiest weekend for awhile. Notice that there isn't hardly anyone on the main floor. I would say if you want to visit without another living soul in the place, then a Monday in February may be the time
I'm sure my regular watchers can guess what's about to be uploaded next

This is so cool. There's one of these beautiful birds in the Cosmosphere here. I still remember the day they brought it in, they had to shut down a large portion of the town, take down several of the electricity polls and lights, by the gods it was such an awesome sight! Even better than that was watching it land at the air port, the very last flight it would ever make. *sigh* It's kind of a sad thought. I used to visit the blasted thing every day, I simply loved it. I haven't seen it in years now though, and this reminds me that I still do love that wonderful piece of machinery. I will have to make a trip...and perhaps Sideswipe will accompany me. ^_~

No, that airfield is a bone yard that's out in New Mexico I believe...or maybe Texas...Hmmm, have to look that up. Either way, there's no airfield like the one in the movie behind it. It always makes me laugh every time Simmons says 'The museum's going to be angry,' especially since there was no museum when they filmed that particular part *snickers* I can imagine that as a kind of inside joke with the film crew.
