Description
A commission from Showing 's character Ceara and... who's this? Someone new?Yes Scylla, a mysterious lady of the deep. Much like Ceara became a Lord of the Abyss by taking Malcanthet's throne in an story Box and I wrote a little while back, the astute among you might notice that Ceara is looking more ripped and spiky than usual,Β that hell-throne would be why.Β but now someone else has done the same with Dagon's realm. Who is Scylla? Well that would be telling... Whether or not Scylla appears to menace the people of Angel Falls is not yet clear, but Ceara in her now position as a hellqueen certainly has her eye on that plane...
Although Box and I haven't submitted much recently, we have still been writing, it's just that the process of editing things to get them ready to actually post can be... wearisome. So in the meantime we're exploring some of the concepts we've been writing about through commissioned art, more may be on the way.

Yeah they were intended to be chitinous like crustacean armour, and Venus interpreted that differently. This is the first art of her ever so there were bound to be a couple of things that needed tweaking. On the whole though, Venus still knocked this one out of the park.

Well I'm currently deciding how to handle any more stuff of Scylla (the sea witch on the left) Ceara shows up in a few more places in my archives and that of my writing partner and both of us have other characters we've commissioned art of.

I see! Why not let your fans decide? What I mean by this is lunch a Soft Contest featuring the Sea-Witch in a Spin Off Story. For example I'm working on writing a Webcomic featuring my Personal Character Jeed Dorvil. In my comic the main character Jeed received a package and message from his Grandfather. The message explains how His Grandfather is an Incubus in the Netherworld and he wants to meet him. Second later Jeed is transported to the Netherworld. During his journal Jeed encounter the Sea witch. It fanfic(unless you want it cannon).

Well Scylla already has a defined backstory and nature, it's just not published, and it's a bit of a mess.
The trick will be to rework that and salvage what I can to use her in a new context, which is honestly a fair way off.

Uhh, I guess. I hadn't really anticipated receiving fanart out of the blue. 
Just a couple of quick notes though, she does actually have humanoid legs underneath the waist-tentacles that serve as a skirt of sorts, it's not as clear in this image but yeah. Her feet and legs up to the knees are encased in a similar chitinous substance as her forearms and hands, kind of knee-high stiletto boot equivalents. Also she has pointed elf-esque ears under that tentacle hair, and she'd likely be wearing earrings of some kind. She also has a weapon she wields sometimes which is an option if you feel like using it. It's a two-tined spear or bident, the shaft made out of rough-hewnΒ coral and the two spear tips made out of sharpened fish teeth. I'd be interested in hearing if you have any particular scenarios for artworkΒ in mind.

Thanks for the extra details. There is someone I had in mind. But I wasn't sure if he(or she) can handle Tentacles. One last question. You wrote she welds spears. Would a Trident be okay?

Well I was thinking a Bident in particular. Which is essentially a trident without the middle spike.
Tridents are a little overused, especially for sea-dwelling entities, and the bident has some interesting applications.

Pretty much, although the tines are a bit further apart, enough that you could say... get it around someone's neck and lift them up by that without actually getting blades into the flesh. And also made out of deep-sea stuff like I previously mentioned.
