So... I've recently gotten into Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, and I decided to use Scylla for a thought experiment. For the uninitiated, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure is a manga and anime about larger than life characters, it's pretty influential and old-school. Its most defining trait is the ability of many characters to summon humanoid psychic projections of their inner nature, each with their own power, from the broad and broken to the incredibly specific and marginal, and many of them are named after western bands or songs, as mine is. The Persona series was likely inspired by JJBA, that's the kind of pedigree it has.

And so, here is myself (Robin or Rin) with Scylla acting as my stand, Don't Go Near The Water. It's pretty strong and fast, but not top-tier. it is however almost impossible to kill the stand or user due to the unique stand power, said stand power also leading to a lot of room for growth and increased power with the benefit of ingenuity or training. Her weakest suit is in precision, as she is initially not a trained fighter, however that is something her potential could bump up in time.

Her ability flesh control is quite powerful, and was inspired by the "pillarmen" of Jojo's part 1 and 2, who were ancient vampires able to alter their own biology to weaponise themselves in all sorts of crazy ways, from growing chainsaw bone-blades to vein-tentacles spraying superheated blood, they seem limited only by imagination and what they're willing to experiment with. in particular their leader, Karz, who ascended to an entire new level of reworking his biology on a whim. For comic book fans, the Pillarmen function a lot like Mr Sinister, and Karz's final form was close to Apocalypse's strength... and this is the power my Jojo's persona directly aspires to. In addition to her own body, she can manipulate the flesh of others, something which perhaps makes her even more deadly than them.

Indeed, the story of this "fancharacter" is that she was initially a marine biologist, top of her field, brought in to the Speedwagon foundation in the 1920's as one of many scientists and futurists to try and make the world a better place, but when the pillarmen incident began, she and many others were shifted into trying to work on ways to counter their regenerative abilities, and in particular how to eliminate Santana once and for all. But Secretly, she began to covet the power of the pillarmen, a desire that was only intensified when Karz became a perfect organism. She desired to replicate this power in humans, to take the species above age and disease, and to eliminate the flaws that limited the pillarmen. It goes without saying that the Speedwagon Foundation was not pleased with this line of thinking, and when her hidden research was discovered, she was dismissed from the Foundation in disgrace.

Many years later, old and bitter, still pursuing her research on her own with few resources, he stand awakened. it is unknown whether it was due to an attack with the meteorite arrow, or whether she was pushed far enough that deeply buried potential was suddenly unleashed, but what is clear, is that she became extremely dangerous. Her youth and vitality were restored, she progressively reworked her body to not require food, water, air, to eliminate potential weakpoints by shifting internal organs or creating redundant copies, and countless other modifications. Her experience with marine life served her well, providing much inspiration.

by the time Dio approached her to try and force her under this thumb, she was functionally immune to the "flesh buds" he would normally implant to control people directly. She was also able to adapt her body to produce ultraviolet bioluminescent light, limiting his options further. As a very gay woman, she is also immune to his "charisma". Given that Dio's time-stopping powers had yet to awaken, she was too troublesome to kill... but too valuable to let go. So Dio bargained with her, he would support her research with his resources, and in return she would provide modified agents, and if her work was ever perfected, elevate Dio himself to the perfection Karz obtained. She was happy to comply.

After Dio's death, she continues her research on her own, gathering allies and test subjects, using her powers to strongarm or persuade people to give her resources, she has no interest in fighting other stand users, but she is incredibly dangerous if her path is crossed.
