When I first glimpsed at this, I had to take a closer look. As I got closer, I couldn't stop looking for one second. The balance of this beautiful dark creature and his bright golden flames are in perfect harmony. The detail is beyond amazing. I've always admired your work.
Vision: I think the vision is wonderful for this piece. Everything seems like it belongs. Every single spike and scale are of great detail. I really enjoy the glowing on top of the dragons head, and the even brighter glow in the eyes and mouth. What is my favorite is the little specks of dancing embers, that is awesome.
Originality: I think there is a lot of dragon plus fire pieces shown from the bust. But this one, has it's own origin it seems. How the dragon is cupping his flame. It adds to the border of the piece. You also have a way with your shading, a lot of people have trouble working with a black creature. But you made it so one can tell what color it is, without drowning the piece in darkness.
Technique: Obviously, you know what you're doing with your technique. Every detail is carefully placed. There is a lot of movement going on, yet it seems to fit well with the cropping you've chosen. The fire is simply realistic. I like how you added the black background too, to make the dragon stand out more.
Impact: This piece has had a lot of impact on a lot of deviants, including myself. It makes people want to get into their pieces more, and show their true detail. It honestly makes me wanna spend so many hours on one piece. Also, aside from this piece, I know how in depth you go with your dragon OC's. And it's very very admirable.

I thing that this dragon should be on the game DragonAge: Origins protecting the Urn of Sacred Ashes. I mean there is one, but it doesn't look like this one. Heck, this one even has ashes between its scales below its neck.

This fire Dragon to me looks similar like a head detail of the Deathwing from WoW. The double set eye I think it is a nice touch along with the spines up and down the neck and back as well, and like scales that run up the wings as well. Nice work done on this pic.
