Sad fact: the Ophidians are the only monsters other than D'Sparil and his Chaos Serpent to not appear in any levels with the red skyline backdrop (as seen in Hell's Maw).

Someone said these were half-scorpion, but I see more serpent in them. But it's cool.

If Heretic ever went HD, I could picture the Ophidian looking like this.

I remember that game. It was fun. However, the version I got doesn't have the expansion levels past Episode 3 or 4.

meh, I was never really fond of the shadow of the serpent riders bonus levels. They were kind of anticlimactic after killing D'Sparil.

I remember that name: it's from E3M5, "The Ophidian Lair". I guess that's where they live.
