So, here is the next picture for my 14 Songs Project , and more specifically track eight, being Håll Mitt Hjärta (translated to English: Hold My Heart)by Björn Skifs, although the version I have is sung by a former classmate of mine named SaraLi.

This is very... well... it is important to me. It took a really long while before I managed to decide what to draw for this one - since I tried different ideas and was rather unable to settle for one - until this popped up. It just... well... felt really, really perfect.

The characters are my Nikita Bloodjoy - with the short, black hair, yes, he cut it before he went into the army - and *Verdokai 's Sin Riovan - with the blond curls.
Why is this so imporant then?

Well, Nikita is THE character that has the most reason to hate me for what I've done to him, since I rarely give him time to actually handle it as well. He had a shitty childhood, yes, one of the worst, and later turned to drugs to keep it all away (although that's not entirely true, since he tried to drugs long before he realised that they worked for that purpose as well)
So, when he went into the army, unable to chase his memories away with drugs, he had his first - and only - major breakdown.

To handle this, *Verdokai was kind enough to lend Sin Riovan, since he was one of Nikita's superior officers. Sin decided to take Nikita under his wing, and for the first time Nikita got the big brother he always needed but had never been allowed to have.
In short, Sin saved his fucking life, since there is no telling where Nikita would have ended up unless Sin hadn't taken him away from Boston and offered him a life in Washington for a year - a year where Nikita decided to get completely clean.

During that year, Sin was his support when it came to most things. Sin gave him food, a job and a home to turn to if he needed it. It changed Nikita's life forever, and that is why this song made me draw this.

Nikita always kept himself from leaning on other people because he was either afraid of being betrayed or simply did not think that they would be able to handle it, but Sin he trusted enough to give his entire life to.
He gave him his heart, he gave him his soul and Sin did everything he could to heal them both - and he managed wonderfully.

I put a lot of effort into this picture, and really tried to show emotions and feelings without even showing the characters faces, because... well... the emotion itself is much more important here.

I also practiced on drawing rounder, more realistic bodies, and tried, once again, with a bit smoother colouring than usual. I really like the result ^_^

Yes, I like this - very much.
