Description Innsmouth... bad place to be a private detective.

Just screwing around. Kind of different. Lots of fun.

Well, here's the game's website, if you wanna check it out.

THough I gotta say I am surprised its still running, since the company went bust soon after the game's release.

I don't remember the name of the main character in "Shadow Over Innsmouth". But, It's not suppose to be anybody in particular.

Well, I guess then you havent heard, but last year this game came out, Call of Cthulhu: Darkest Corners of The Earth, which is about a private detective named Jack Walters going into Innsmouth to find a missing person.

Whats more, your drawing instandly reminded me of him. Weird, huh?

I remember hearing about that game. I never got around to playing it but the idea sounded great the the screenshots looked cool. Maybe it got into my subconience.

Yeah, well, compared to today's games, it will look like crap in comparison. Great story, though. But I hate the ending.

Have you seen any World of Darkness corebooks? Looks similar to the stuff in the nWoD Rulebook... and, of course, horror!

No, I haven't. Is that a role playing game? Could you give me a link to more information? It sounds interesting.

I love the character work and angle of the composition. Nice style and fine depth. The movement is fantastic.

Thanks a lot. I was really just sketching around when I made this. When I sketch loosely and fast I tend to get better movement but I loose anatomical accuracy. Thanks for the fav!

I love it when you draw contortionists! One of these days I aspire to be able to twist my neck in the same way as this picture!

*crack* "Owwwww!!!!! My neck!"

Well, so much for those aspirations.

You mean that you can't spin a 360 with your head? Clearly you need to find a new yoga instructor.

Thanks a lot for the fav! It was kind of fun doing greyscale. I usually use a lot of highly saturated colors, it's always nice to strech a bit.

I really like the detail in the debris, and the droplets of what seems to be water flying through the air.

Is that the shadow of his hand (from the light) on the lower part of his shirt? Or creases?

Just creases in his shirt, but it's not very clear. Thanks a lot for the comment and the fav!

I'm not sure what you mean. Though ironically enough, I just finished reading "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman last night.

Neutrinos3 In reply to lifebytes [2007-07-20 09:35:46 +0000 UTC]

There's a short story by Neil Gaiman that's about a werewolf/detective in a place that I for some reason am thinking of as Innsmouth...and he fights something that comes from the sea.

Perhaps I'm recalling incorrectly...but I'm not sure
