Surprisingly enough, this actually does not contain any spoilers for Caught Off Guard. It was supposed to be made obvious within the first few pages that Austin and Travel were together, thus the 'He's my ma-" "MAJORLY..." ness happening on the eighth page. What Travel was going to say was 'mate', but the problem is that the two are from different packs, and to make it worse, Austin is an Omega, or, for those that don't know, the absolute LOWEST rank possible in a wolf pack. He is not allowed to take a mate. Travel, also, being a Traveler, is not allowed to have a mate because of her job - she is supposed to constantly be on the road, scouting out potentially new territory and seeking alliegances with other packs. A connection to anyone could be fatal for her rank.

And no, this is not a scene from the comic, nor is it planned to be in it at any time. It was just something that was constantly written about - that Austin would have to leave Travel because they were caught, and to save her (and himself), he seperated himself and said to her the words she fears above all else: "Good-bye."

OKAY, so apart from the depression... xD This little thing that will never be (because I was almost crying the entire time even drawing this - I'd have a heart attack if I had to do PAGES of this! D: ) might actually be where the name of the comic came from. :3 "Caught Off Guard" signifies the many surprises that come to the characters along the way of the story - but if I continue, there will actually be spoilers, so I'm not gonna.

Travel looks funny. O.o
