A heavy cloak, old and threadbareWoven of days and nights past
A thousand and one scent escaping
Covering the soul
Days are darkening
The shadows growing heavy
Every cell longing
To feel the pale tongues
Swirling around my body
Aching to surrender
Until entirely consumed
And yet not
A sudden spark, a spray of light
Ashes giving birth to form
I am the phoenix,
The phoenix rising

no i understand that i think the balance is just right tbh when i saw the small image i didn't see it but when i looked at it larger it sprung out of the colour ^^

yea, spotting it is easier when looking at the real painting. Before I managed to kill my camera I had taken some pictures, but they simply did not work out. When my friend Roger came for a weekend I asked him to take a photo with his camera and he really made it work. The colours came out exactly as they are and everything.

oh thats brilliant! see i love the idea of photography but mine never looks right XD i have some photos on here from my photography GCSE XD but thats all! But i can just be awe struck by the photos on da =O

Oh yes, I am, too! I don't think I would manage to get such photos done even if I had the camera and lenses and what have you not. Besides simply adoring the photos on DA, they are also my best inspiration

Yes, exactly! If I want to use a photo as inspiration, I ask and I am happy to they that so far I always got permission to do so. Paintings are different, of course. I might be inspired to try a certain style, but I wouldn't really paint the same subject, because that could be seen as copying. Nevertheless, I think I have learned quite a bit from looking at other painters' works.

yes i agree! i have found a few graphic desgingers on here that i have been able to use as artists in my collage reasuerch and they have been more than happy for me to do that!

yea i know a few people that have had things stolen from da and even used on own websites .. no idea how they trace it but you can clearly see its the same image.

Oh well, trying to get in the mood of looking forward to start the new job tomorrow. A friend rang and offered to drive me in the morning as it is my frist day there.
It sort gave me that feeling of being acompanied as a child on its first day in school.
