Ash's thoughts of strangling them or pounding them into the ground with his hammer builds up, but he never says these thoughts aloud. He doesn't like speaking his true feelings out loud, fearing the worst if he actually does. However, he isn't always insincere with his feelings or politeness, depending on who is interacting with him.
