According to trusty Wikipedia, Darjeeling is a black tea that is named for the region it comes from, in West Bengal, India. I find Darjeeling to have a strong but also satisfying floral, slightly bitter taste. Apparently, the taste of the tea depends on the estate in Darjeeling from which the tea was harvested. Cool!

For my Darjeeling illustration, I drew inspiration from the tea's origin, which is clearly so important, and tried my hand at drawing a Bengal tiger and a lovely girl in a decadent, rich Bengali/Indian costume. The latter was tough because there are so many representations of how to wear a sari that it's impossible to pick one and make it representative (I love looking at this page , they all look so pretty!). In the end, I chose to use this image as a reference. The tiger is also heavily referenced from this photo . None of these images are mine, and I gotta give credit where credit is due.

Wow. This was the most difficult one so far--and not just the tiger, but the wrinkles in her dress! But for once, I'm so happy with the colors!! Originally, the tiger stripes/outlines were in black, but I loved the warmth and radiance from how I colored the girl, I changed them to a lighter brown. I imagine the tiger is her friend, like Rajah was to Jasmine...
