The radio chatter and overwatch really enhanced the ambience of the game. the overall atmosphere was one of my fav things about Half Life 2. It is def. one of my fav games

I remember I used to have the audio files of the game and I put all the Combine and Overwatch chatters on a playlist for my WMP and I could listen to them forever. XD And omg the thunderous horn/siren of the Citadel still sends tingles down my spine when I hear it! The Citadel is definitely one of my fave levels in the whole game and I adoooored seeing how bigger and bigger it gets the closer to it you get and then you get close to entering it and can see how colossal and breathtaking structure it is, and all those wicked pipes and wires that protrude from it, it is like a huge living building. The beginning of Episode One was totally one of the best chapters ever, not just in HL but one of the best and most breathtaking scenes of all the games I have ever played.

LOL Look at me going mad with my love for Half-Life. XD So sorry for this long comment, I could not stop myself, haha.

Some of these even feature noises you don't get to hear in the game, or hear that often, so it's like finding buried sound treasure
