I wanted to draw Roy as a kid.I was thinking about Chapter 87 and how Madame Christmas came to be part of Roy's life. This picture is what came of it.
Roy's past is all very mysterious. I want to know more.

i honestly think he's xingese, and in my head, he's a xingese prince thus he's related to Mei and Ling and so then when Al marries Mei (later on in life), it means that Ed is related to Mei as well, which means he will distantly be related to Roy, because remember, Roy's a long lost Xingese prince. and then ed will get mad because that's how ed rolls...
But that's the future. and this is the past. yeah, i agree, I want to learn more about roy's past. Maybe Arakawa will do a mini-story about ...that'd be cool ^^

At first I had this very evil idea that he grew up in a brothel or something 
In the anime, she was his step mother so I thought she married his father and also the girls work in a bar for madam Christmas at the bar she owned...but makes me think no wonder why Roy is a womaniser

I kinda thought the brothel thing too and maybe that was the feeling that was supposed to come across from the situation but it was turned into a bar to be more PC but yeah Madame Chris so strikes as a brothel owner not just a bar owner lol

Yes, I think that growing up with Madam Christmas as his mom he'd definitely get wise to the ways of the world. Its definitely part of his charm.
