14x17" 35x43cm ink on paper
Painted sometime in the 1970's and based on a photograph by Charles E Brown. I added several more figures to the scene. I have a shelf or two of books on London with photographs that I used to as source material for my drawing and paintings. My favorite, from which this painting was drawn, is The Spirit of London by Paul Cohen-Portheim. Wonderful photos from the 1920's.

Thanks. They certainly look dreary enough. This one is a night scene, though, so it needs to be dark.
