Time taken: 3 HoursSo I went to the bookstore with a couple of friends the other day. There was a hobbit sized version of The Hobbit and I really really wanted it but I couldn't buy it thanks to CNY.
So in about a week or two, I should be able to get it and I'll be gone for a while reading.
I wanted to do Smaug when he meets the invisible bilbo, but alas, I can't draw piles of gold so I had to make do with the destroying of Esgaroth.

I really like what you've done here; it looks like Smaug is ready to kick the moon's ass somehow
I also like the rough nature of this drawing; it brings to mind the rough nature of the dragon itself, and a nice contrast against the smooth diamonds and rubies it hoarded in its nest.
Especially all the lines and scales give away a lot of detail otherwise not so obvious in b&w.
I don't know if you were working with a time limit here, but I believe your next effort could surely be even better if you put some more time into it.
