I'm making a symbol/pendant for the LARP characters who founded the outpost of Tenebria during the last game, last week. Just for fun, because I enjoyed the game greatly and now want to make something nice while waiting for the next chance to play with the same people.We're a group of bad charries (so they say!
), hence the Black Star, which is the symbol of the dark deity who is our "guide".The half-ruined tower is a real reminder to the main tower of Castel Camponeschi, the gorgeous place where we played, and has also been chosen because we founded the outpost on the ruins of another city.
In my original project there is also a "T" on the lower part of the pendant, but I have to wait until the putty is completely dried, before I can add that. And... I'm not sure that I'd like it. Perhaps it's already compete as it is... Mhhh *thoughtful*
(p.s. hey, btw, I do commissions, of this sort of things also!

Do you mean if I would make and sell a rubber mould, without casting anything? In general I'd say yes, it simply depends on what's the object. What's linka?

Linka is the company that makes rubber moulds for stuff like houses: brickwork sections, roofs, windows etc, but they are a bit simplistic for the castings Iβm looking for and canβt find anyone else on-line.
Iβm looking for more fantasy stuff. Gargoyles, other statues, wall decorationsβ¦something to make models richer. So I was wondering if you do commissions of such things.

Aww, ok, I found the website of Linka and now I see what you mean.
Basically, I take commissions of more or less everything, the only possible issue is about the price I may have to ask for the work, because it depends on the time and effort I put in the task.
In any case, I always make an estimate of the price a certain work may cost, and tell it before I start, and never change it later, even if the work takes longer, thus my clients don't have "bad surprises".
As about your request, do you already have the prototypes, and want to cast them in many copies, or do you need those too?
I may make the little sculptures, if you want, then make the silicon-rubber mould(s), or just make the moulds out of already-existing objects, if their shape allows that.

Hmm, no I don't have anything that could be used as prototypes. I could look around and see if I can find anything, if not could you make something?
I'll have to finish some of the models first and see what 'extras' I'd like for them. But Gargoyles are definitely one of the things I want for the roofs. I donβt think I can find prototypes for those where I live.

Sure, I can make little sculpture rather easily, I mean, my inner core is that of a sculptor, if I'm asked to say!
I only need to knwo exactly what you would like to get and what is the scale/size.
In any case, I'm more or less always here, just let me know, when you're done with your projects, what you need, and I'll tell you an estimate, ok?

Wow, and I mean wow. That's lovely work! Do you carve down to create the piece of build it up? It's got so much detail and depth! How big does it actually measure?

I modelled it with putty, but I also used some sand-paper to smoothen the basis "lens".
It's 8,2 cm long, about 3'' and 1/4 (eh, someday I should learn how to properly write measures in inches!
