Description I wanted to make a Kirby since I hadn't done so yet. I wanted to do something other than your standard him standing looking adorable pose. The "sprite" is made of 1cm sheets of paper. I think there was about 200+ pieces of paper.

Woah cool. I love Kirby!! ^^

I'm just starting to get creative with paper and eventually I might make something worth deviating. Do you have any tips for making something like this? And the gloss, how did you do that?!

Hey post everything you make. Just because someone else doesn't think its worth it doesn't mean it isn't to you I'm really happy I put my early stuff on because it lets me look back and see how much I've developed my skill. Glad you like it though
As for tips... if you try something like this just a quick heads up. As I found out with my first one, when you make something like this, the weight of the paper will undo the interlocking so you'll want to use a bit of glue to make sure it will hold together for the long haul. otherwise you'll end up like I did crying when you come home one day and everything is in pieces on the wall. As for the gloss its really simple. I just went to my local hobby shop and bought a spray can of gloss. I use 2-3 coats on the from and 1-2 coats on the back. This help give the final work some strength and helps hold the units together. There is a trick though. Don't be impatient. You have to go over the work very lightly (thus the reason for multiple coats) or you'll cause the colours to bleed into each other. Try what I did and do a few "test" works of a few pieces and learn to spray on them. Good luck with everything and it you do decide to try something on this scale be patient and let me know if you post it I'd like to see it! Good luck
