The only Cethosia species I have never seen are C. tambora and C. luzonica but as far as the rest C. hypsea is the only one that even comes close and my photos of C. hypsea look about identical to what you have posted here. I you like I can post one of mine for comparsion?

although it does look like the C. hypsea hypsina, also know as the Malay Lacewing, i cannot be certain as most of them are imported.
as described in C& 4, key separation of the species of C. hypsea : underside hinding without a white submarginal band.

but it also closelty resembles the C. penthesilea methypsea

As you have stated C. hypsea hypsina lacks the submarginal band where to my knowledge C. penthesilea methypsea does has it but then I am not there so I will defer to you judgement in this case, whatever it may be.

thanks for the kind words. nope it isnt a malay lacewing, i'm not too keen on IDing them as some of the species here in the butterfly park isnt from the malay peninsular.
