Description I make my best attempt to quickly demonstrate what shadowFilterSize, shadowAtten, shadowDepthBias, shadowSlopeScaleDepthBias do. The best way to learn how they work in sfm is to try them out yourself. That's how I have learned the most about lighting in sfm so far. Also, this is not supposed to show you how I would illuminate this scene, the purpose is to only focus on the aforementioned parameters.

IN A NUTSHELL:

-ShadowFilterSize modifies the sharpness and concentration of the shadows
-ShadowAtten changes the darkness of the shadows
(with volumetric lights, low value on both of these prevent the volumetric particles from clipping through models)
-ShadowDepthBias moves the starting point of the shadows
-ShadowSlopeScaleDepthBias is a finetuning option for SDB, it does basically the same as SDB, but in a smaller scale

I was planning to make this into a series to share some tips about lighting and help sfm artists tackle problems they might have with lights. So if you have any wishes, comments, tips, opinions or corrections if I do something wrong, please, go ahead and a drop a comment below.
