Yes, I love pray mantis... They're so elegante, thin, smart and have truly amazing eyes *-* excellent models In Japanese they're called "kama-kiri"; kama means scythe and kiri means cut (the verb). Which is much more scarier And, yeah, their triangular head looks like an alien (although I've never seen one in my life :/)

Mhh, in Brazil it's the very same thing than in Portugal... But kama-kiri is soo cute *-* and also easier, even though I don't speak Japanese like my mother does

Mainly they live in fields around here. But they blend very well. We usually see them only by accident or luck.
