Featuring WBS If I Was A Rich Man

The weather was fine as the team pulled up at Gulfstream Park, there were already a lot of people bustling to and fro leading horses, running about in a mad hurry as for last minute items. They had made the decision to arrive as late as they as possible whilst still allowing time to get everything together before the races started, In the trailer were the two young horses BTs Tortuga for whom it was her first race and was always a little unpredictable, and RD's Blaklion a more experienced colt with a few wins under his belt but who tends to act up in the hours leading up to the race it was as if the energy of the crowds got to him. As Brent opened up the trailer door he could see Otto standing quietly looking the picture of relaxation, he had always been a calm traveler and it seems he hadn't yet caught on it was race day "maybe for the better" Brent thought to himself. He lead him down the ramp and handed him over to Verity whilst he went to deal with Tortuga the potentially more troublesome of the pair. Verity attempted to keep Otto calm speaking softly to him as she walked him towards the stalls , by this point he had begun to realise where he was his pace changed as he danced alongside her throwing his head up in the air. As they continued Otto pressed his ears back and stretched out his neck in an attempt to take a bite out of a passing horse "Oi don't be a brat" Verity said sharply turning into their stall.

Otto was lead out onto the track the sound of the crowd boomed from the grandstands the young colt let out a shriek flaring his nostrils showing the white of his eyes as he planted his feet into the dirt ahead of him the other horses were filing into the stands nicely but he was determined not to go forward "Come on boy you're fine once your in them we can't afford to fail to start this race" then he noticed a familiar filly loading standing quietly up ahead and with a great deal of reluctance he went forwards into the gate, the doors closed behind him and shortly after the bell rang signaling the start of the race. As soon as he few out of the gate the pent up nerves seemed to convert themselves into sheer energy as the colt hurtled down the track chasing the front runners, Dylan attempted to slow to colt down worrying he would burn out before they had got any distance but otto was having none of it. The pack was closing in behind Otto Dlyan did his best to keep him from getting stuck up in the middle of it instead he had him stick close to the rail as they rounded the first corner the sound of the hooves urging them on along the flat with the wind whistling past them taking their breath away.
