Ah childhood... Yusuke Urameshi is my favorite anime character of all time. I know a lot of people liked Hiei or Kurama more but I just can't help but love this little delinquent. He's a crazy guy who does crazy things for his friends. And even though he pretends that he isn't, he's actually very, very noble and kind. He melts my heart every time I watch the show. Or he brings me to the floor in hysterics with his sarcastic, pain in the ass remarks. Whether he's living or dying his just an over all emotional guy and his character draws me in every time. He will probably be cemented in my heart as my favorite anime character of all time as well as my first anime crush. Yeah that's right, I said it.

I think why people prefer Kurama and Hiei more is because they are going by the Japanese version. In that version, Yusuke, while ok, is rather bland in comparison to his dub counterpart, who was far more lively, and came off more like a thug, the identity Yusuke was going for in the first place.

Great piece, Yusuke looks badass as always, but puu contrasts it nicely.

Aw thanks! Drawing Puu is actually a stress reliever because he broke up all the complicated parts of the drawing. It was just like, "Oh gonna go draw something that doesn't make me wanna tear my hair out! Yayness."
