Finally the last piece of the Ghibli series.

Princess Mononoke is not only my favorite Studio Ghibli movie, but probably my favorite movie in general. I even once wrote a rather lengthy essay about it in school.
I love all the ambiguous characters. This movie taught me so much about how nobody is evil, or good for that matter, it just depends what your own interests and priorities are. The conflict between the people of the city and the spirits in the woods are portrayed so well, that you can understand both points of view and see that the only real solution in the end is compromise.
The same goes for the portrayal of the coexistence of life and death.
Princess Mononoke is also the first Ghibli movie I ever watched. I remember I was about 8 or 9 and my best friend had it on vhs tape. I didn't understand the movie really, back then, but I was so fascinated. It was one of my main inspirations to start drawing and painting, and I'm still thankful for that.
I'm also always impressed by the fluidity of the animation.
In my opinion it's just one of the most genius movies out there.

Beautiful depiction. It feels like I'm looking directly at Their individual auras. The back lit effect is awesome. However unfortunately I disagree with the movies premise. But that's another topic. compromise is what killed the native Americans and our environment in the attempt to create a Corpocracy that there is no way out of. Not without killing jobs and industry's that depends on compromising our future. Hence my favorite Miyazaki film Nausicca. However none the less It's still a bad ass movie. Thanks love your gallery

What a great compilation! Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite Ghibli movies too. I can't decide between it and Spirited Away for being my favorite. I love how you incorporated so many of the iconic images from the movie into one art piece. You wrote a good interpretation of the movie as well. I love Ashitaka because he is one of my favorite examples of a leader who won't compromise or completely fight against either side of the conflict and does everything he can to try to get both sides to live in peace.

I simply love that movie. It has everything. A love story, criticism on our environmental behaviour, loads of action and a twisted plot. love it!
