Part 7 of my January Fanart project Ghibli series.______________________
To me, this is the prettiest Ghibli film. I mean, they’re all absolutely beautiful and every background is a work of art, but the backgrounds in Arrietty are so stunning. So much detail, so many clever ideas for the interior of the tiny house that’s all borrowed stuff. Especially Arrietty’s room.
The Cecile Corbel soundtrack is also one of my favorite soundtracks ever, and not just from Ghibli films, but in general. The songs are all so sweet and I adore the lyrics.
Painted on Canson watercolor paper, using Ecoline liquid watercolors, Schmincke masking fluid and a light table.

Hey Loonaki, do you plan on doing prints for these and selling them? If so where could one buy them?
If not, would you mind uploading 300ppi versions so people can print them for their house? As a massive Ghibli fan and collector, I would love these on my wall, they are insanely awesome

I don't know. I'd love to do something of the sort. I thought about printing them as postcards, but selling fan art can be a problem because of the copyrights and such. Especially with a company as big and international as Ghibli. But it's very stylised and very different from Ghibli's own merch... so maybe it's not that much of an issue. I don't know. I'll figure that out.
I'm not gonna put them up in higher resolution, though, sorry.
