Drew it on Mozart's 218th death anniversary. Had to do something about it. This took me several hours.

That is Mozart (NO WAI) composing the Requiem, extremely ill and desperate to finish said work, which will end up finishing him.

We all know that he became obsessed with that Mass for the Dead until the end of his days, putting all his work and even his own life on it. High above them are the hands of Death about to cover him with a black veil as a way to simbolyze how, as he kept working, sank slowly into his demise.

The lines are kinda rough, I know. I didn't mean to make them delicate. But I could have done better on the lines for the furniture. The shading was really fun, although I don't think it's totally accurate according to the light source. But I really like the result.

Anyway, Mozart is way too good looking in this picture like to be close to dying. The days before he died, he was grossly swollen in the face and hands, was lying on bed and could barely move. It must have been a disgusting scene, but I made him look pretty decent here

Anyway... yeah. The days related to my favourite composer are quite important for me.

Despite your death, great Maestro, you are immortal.

Love this! Very expressive and the ambiance is already ... well, mournful. As for Mozart looking too healthy, I guess that's what they call artistic license.

I love the fact that he was left handed. I feel like we have a little more in common because of that c:
