1943, FRENCH FASCIST AVIATION DELIVERS ITS LAST COMBAT
DURING THE ALLIED LANDING

After the surprise attack on London at the end of Operation Charlemagne, the United States went to war against France. Worse: the USSR has just broken the Franco-Soviet pact, opening a second front to the east. The French empire and seems lost, while the armed forces engage in a final battle and dignitaries like Celine and Beauvoir flee to Spain, a final project fomented to avoid the ultimate humiliation of occupation: General de Gaulle, with a victory in Egypt, could participate in a coup to negotiate peace with the British.

This is the end of the uchrony begun in Omega. In line with the two previous volumes, The dusk of the Damned enjoys a cleverly constructed screenplay, but demanding: Follow all the elements requires sustained attention, the texts are dense and worked, and several parallel plots each spin to its conclusion on the intersecting sometimes. The drawing of Maza and colors of John Paul Fernandez are generally successful, both in terms of the forms (the Lockheed P-38 is not always easy to draw!) That moods, but very framed layout does not fantasy - aerial battles, especially pages 26 to 30, still allow to breathe a little with a much more dynamic cutting reminiscent of other works of Maza.

logical conclusion of the cycle, this final volume is like previous dryish but exciting, and together form an alternate history "realistic" solid and frankly successful, that will appeal surely fans of the genre.
