After I just finished reading the Viking at Stamford bridge, I think this artwork really seals the deal for me. Excellent work!

I just saw the spearpoint this time. Dirty rat bastards, cheating on a man's heroism and nobility. But fitting for my situation. Anyway, featured here: [link] Great, fantastic, art, congrats! -Debra

Thanks buddy...yeah the nasty thing is a really smart Anglo Saxon...like the saying goes...'if you can't go through it, go under it...and stab it in the balls before you wave goodbye...' 8D

Love the angle of this piece. The only critique I could offer is that at the battle of stamford bridge, Harald and his army had no time to don their armor and were fighting in clothing with their weapons.

Hey thanks man...you know your vikings too huh? Cool...but actually the Norwegian King's Saga says that most left their armour on the ships but not all, and the Anglo Saxon Chronicles says that the viking defender of the bridge had armour...hence the chainmail...but who knows?

Good point. I've read King Harald's saga and The Heimskringla but not in many years. I think I seen a TV show on the battle at Stamford bridge and the historian said that they did'nt have time to arm themselves, but whatever, It's a great pic all the same!
