Awww cute Trixie. Glad to see that she'll be ok. But what about poor Starlight? Last time I checked she was being brutally strangled by Fluttershy in page 6 of chapter 3. By the looks of it, she's been being strangled since then without Fluttershy ever letting go.
Also, when exactly did Spike blast Trixie into oblivion in flames. I don't exactly remember when that happened

lol I know Starlight's fine (more or less lol), I saw the recent parts. Even though I thought it was a bit excessive that she damn near strangled to death. If it were played for laughs that'd be one thing but it was played a little more seriously than how say Rarity and Rainbow Dash were attacked.

I can answer that.
If you remember the events of the first Volume, specifically Chapter 10, Spike had to fight Chrysalis and her Changeling Army. This implies that this comic diverges from canon before the events of "To Where and Back Again" or possibly before "The Times They Are A Changeling". It is also worth noting that the first page of Volume 1 was made on July 4, 2016 while the episode introducing Thorax "The Times They Are A Changeling" was released on August 20, 2016. This means that Thorax didn't come with the Canon Divergence.
Also, Thorax was introduced in Season 6 and the School of Friendship wasn't created until Season 8.
To answer your question, this comic takes place at a point in the show before Thorax or the Young Six were introduced because that is where the show was when the comic was first made.
