ITS BACK EVERYONE AFTER MANY MONTHS OF INACTIVITY TO THIS TIMELINE, I HAVE FINALLY BEGAN TO GET BACK INTOPERHAPS MAYBE FINISHING IT. Enjoy!
Part X
The midnight sun sits still in the sky as it shines on the
darken areas of the land. Everything from a East Antarctican
way of life, to even society of itself has changed, changed in
a horrible way that only few East Antarcticans like a fellow
Ageghe or Taulo Mari would understand and come to an agreement
with.
That was that ever since the demonic beings who were from a
far away place called "Europe". The Europemen ever since they
came to their land, they destroyed their way of life, and
society. They were simply all seen as either greedy men who
would make deals with them, or either downright simply just
want to exterminate them by plotting genocide, or kidnapping
innocent East Antarcticans to be sold into slavery in places
they called, "South America", "Africa", "China", and "India".
But only thing that made the Europemen destroy their way of life
was introducing them to gunpowder and guns. Horses, and then
ships that were big enough to hold up 40 men. And cannons.
Fellow elder of the now dying Yene Kingdom, stood still on top
of a hill, as he looked down above watching his own village he
was born and lived his life, be destroyed by the Yuma'kias and
the Q'aaro people. His people of his nation couldn't stand any
chance against them. By now both of them were already using this
new "god-like" technology and abused it by killing tons of people
in the name of war.
And the elder man knew clearly who were responsible for giving
the Yuma'kia and the Q'aaro people these weapons in the first
place. A group of Europemen who called themselves the "Spanish".
Just thinking about those Europemen made the elder man want to
curse out loud at the top of his lungs. Cursing the gods of his
religion to cast a fatal curse on every Europemen in existence.
Only thing was he knew clearly that his gods he worshipped for
all these years, were silent and ignoring him and his peoples'
requests and questions. What kind of gods do that he wondered?
Gunshots from muskets and flintlocks could be heard down their
in his burning village. Screams of innocent men, women and
children were so loud that it seriously disturbed the elder.
"Why did it ever have to come to this..." He said to himself
quietly. But he was right, what was the purpose of all of this?
Sadly he any everyone else who walks the southern continent could
not answer this question.
And probably never will.
The elder Yene man, then would realize that even the demons,
the Europemen were also warmongers among themselves. He even
was told by a few Frenchmen two years ago, that where they
came from in Europe, the French and many other European
nations had wars against each other. But what really disturbed
the elder was being told that French had a war with the British
that lasted an entire century and a quarter. From what he
remembered, the Frenchmen called this war the "Hundred Years
of War".
Who on earth, would want a war to last that long? But then again
the elder man knew that even Europemen had problems with each other
and some Europeans hated each other a lot.
"I can no longer call myself a Yene, I will now call myself
a man without a homeland."
"A man who is wandering nomad."
The Yene elder looked back at his burning village as it burned
brightly. He then turned around no looking back, and then walked
off into the distances of the hills. Starting his new life as a
displaced refugee who is nomadic. His people of the Yene Kingdom
were going to end up either like him, or be slaughtered in this
pointless war brought upon by the Yuma'kia and the Q'aaro.
The nameless elder, walks off into the distance, never to be
seen again.

Things for the bottom continent of the world, Antarctica did
not look good when the Europeans discovered it in the 1600's.
Not only did they discover that unlike the northern Arctic they
were used to knowing, the opposite side of the world, was not
completely frozen over, but it was cold. But habitable.
But the most shocking surprise was for all Europeans was finding
out that Antarctica had people already living there. And seeing
the West and East Antarcticans as inferior savages who were backwards
in civilization, the Europeans began to war against them, genocide them,
mass convert them to Christianity, introduce them to foreign things like
horses, cannons, and guns, the list goes on and on.
Western Antarctica was at first originally colonized by the Spanish, Dutch,
and the Portuguese colonial empires. After being able to win against a series
of wars against the Antarcticans, they were able to enslave some of them, and
create settlements and cities in Antarctica.
But eventually Portugal and the Netherlands gave up their claims on Antarctic
due to its alien midnight sun and moon. Eventually it ended up with the Portuguese
giving their colony to the English and Germans. The Dutch colony was abandoned only
to be found by German colonists in 1700's.
But coming back to how the Europeans destroyed everything the Antarcticans were used
to, mainly it is widely considered that the European nation most widely responsible
for this was none other than Spain. Which isn't much of a surprising knowing the
Spanish colonial empire, was brutal and unfair on what it did to the natives in
Latin America. After all the Spanish were the ones to conquer the Mayans, Aztecs and
Incas, only to them mass convert them to Catholicism afterwards.
Even though Spain did not had anymore interests in claiming more of Antarctica, they
were however greatly interested in the East Antarcticans. They had silver and iron,
so they well known the use of iron working for warfare when it came to producing weapons
like swords, metal spears, and so forth. In fact at this time the Q'aaro and Yuma'kia empires
were well known for mining iron, steel, and silver for weaponary.
So the Spanish decided to make a simple deal with the two native empires...
Which was that the Spanish will gladly be trading the Q'aaro and Yuma'kia people things such
as galleons, armor, horses, cannons, and guns, in return for silver and iron from the native
empires.
But this resulted in things not going out right. Things went horribly wrong for the East Antarctic
people. With them eventually knowing the use and knowledge of muskets and cannons. They were pretty
seeing themselves as a way to use something in war. Only to abuse the new "god-like tech".
As a result the Q'aaro Empire and the Yuma'kia Empire came to a big agreement, which was that together
they will invade and get rid of the Yene Kingdom once and for all. All due to past disputes and bitterness
they both had towards the Yene. And thus they wanted payback for all these years in their history.
As a result the Yene War occurred catching the Yene Kingdom completely off guard. And with both the Q'aaro
and Yuma'kia people now armed with muskets and flintlocks, they were unable to match them in any battle.
They failed everything they tried doing to prevent their nation from being destroyed by the two advanced
empires, battle after battle was a big loss for the Yene military since they were simply composed of men
armed with metal spears, sheilds, and swords, and muskets were just to powerful against them as the result.
Within a matter of months, many of the Yene military either surrendered, committed ritual suicide to avoid
being seen as weak in their belief, or some just deserted the military and fled elsewhere in West Antarctica
not being seen or heard from again, due to the fact many who deserted wished to be isolated as hermits. This
was beginning to be seen that the Yene Kingdom's days were now numbered as the Yuma'kia and Q'aaro began to
invade more of their territory and pillage their cities.
The Yene War ended later on, resulting in the Yene people becoming either enslaved or wandering nomads
throughout Antarctica, to a point going far enough to become hermits not wanting any kind or form of outside
contact with the outside world, both Western or Antarctican. Some of these Yene who did this were called by
the Q'aaro, Yuma'kia, and the Ageghe as the "Hiders". Because all they simply do is hide usually in the mountains
and there are still many of these "Hiders" still around today who can trace their ancestry back to the Yene War.
One could easily say that the Yenes themselves are the "Kurds of Antarctica", not having a home country for centuries
and still do not have a home country today. It almost as if the Yene civilization was simply erased from history itself.
Some Yene people who became nomads even became sea-travelers, in fact the Yene had good relations with the Italians and
the British, since they were the only Europeans who didn't mistreated them. As a result many British allowed some Yene onto
their ships, resulting in some Yene going far away from Antarctica, in places like the Thirteen Colonies of North America
(now called the United States of course), Belize, Canada, Ireland and Britain itself. There were many cases recorded that
there were Yene travelers and refugees in British colonial India, and South Africa. Even Australia was a place favored to many
Yene refugees, especially the Australian city of Melbourne.
For the Yene refugees when it came to friendly relations with the Italians, many of the Yene were able to migrate to former
Italian colonies in Africa, like Somalia and for a short while, Libya. But most Yene refugees were mostly residing in Italy by
the 1900's. Sadly the descenants of them were often discriminated during Italy's years of fascism under Mussolini during World
War II. Even Adolf Hitler downright wished to make the Italians a favor by having them exterminated, because he believed that just
like Jews, Slavs (Including Poles), Gyspies, etc. were inferior. Ironically enough Hitler himself did on the other hand believed
that the Q'aaro Empire and Yuma'kia Empire were nations of people who he actually insanely enough believed that they were "Ancient
Aryans", but since the Yene were a scapegoat by their enemies, this carried on into the 20th century by many people including Hitler.
I remember threes ago back in 1982, when I visited the southern Italian country-side, I was amazed a little at how the descenants of
the Yene were now already living alongside the Italians. I was even told that after World War II, they were given same equal status as
Italians. In fact the new constitution of Italy after WWII, even stated that "All Yenes and their successors who are born in Italy, are
to be automatically regarded as Italian Yenes. And to be treated as citizens." In fact even many Yene refugees intermarried many Italian
men and women and created children as well. It is amazing that how a minor colonial empire such as Italy, was very liberal when it came
to the Yene refugees. Maybe it is perhaps that the Italians were once of many smaller nations like Venetian Republic, Tuscany, Genoa,
Piedmont, Papal States, Two Sicilies, and so on. I guess they had complete understanding of the Yene, because they too were in the same
similar situation like they were in the past.
Someday I really do hope that the Yene people will be able to recreate their nation in East Antarctica once again, and no longer be many
displaced people in the world. They've had a unique and great history, and they don't deserve to have their history be forgotten by the
rest of the world.
