Description Description:
Formerly known as Meredith, Y'vaohrra is a shapeshifting humanoid entity that has remained in close proximity to the mortal realm for quite some time. After the events that saw her leave her human existence behind and transcend to a higher state of being, Y'vaohrra found comfort in the embrace of the Ivory Spider who, like a big sister, took great care of her troubled mind. Unable to fully heal her broken psyche, Alerith fashioned a scepter from one of Y'vaohrra's eyes, some tendons and bone, enchanting it to soothe her aching mind. Kinship arose from this act of kindness, and Y'vaohrra can often be seen by visitors to Alerith's realm between realms. And to readers of Alerith's Apocryphon, Y'vaohrrah is referenced as a Goddess of Madness; the polar opposite of Ozymandias, the Aetherian God of Order.
Biologically, Y'vaohrra has become an imitation of what she once was. A being that writhes and pulsates erratically within a shell of forgotten skin and cloth. Reminiscent of a harlequin, a circus clown, and even a ringmaster, Y'vaohrra shapeshifts between these forms depending on her whims, or her intentions. To her there is no distinction between flesh and fabric, for it all can be woven with ease, and it is all as one.
Once a mentally unstable human girl, she has become more and more deranged with the passing of time. Suffering from what can only be described as intense manic episodes where she craves violence and collects people from all over the world, Imprisoning them in the Yellow Rooms. Y'vaohrra is often in a disturbed, homicidal mood; which leads her to be exceedingly cruel to those under her control.

The Yellow Rooms:
The Yellow Rooms are a realm that bends only to Y'vaohrra's will and her demented mind. This pocket dimension exists inside her, and is an ever-changing hellscape where she takes great pleasure in murdering her victims and resurrecting them in a never-ending cycle of torment. Usually taking the appearance of a series of never-ending yellow rooms and hallways, the Yellow Rooms are full of clutter. Stolen houses, trees of flesh and sinew, rivers of blood and thousands of tortured souls that line the floors as if shrunken inside an abandoned warehouse; meanwhile Y'vaohrra towers over everything with a murderous grin. Giant furniture for her use is also present and incorporated into the landscape, and the realm constantly reconfigures itself depending on her mood.
Once in a blue moon she is kind to her slaves and allows them to worship her as many other goddesses do, seldom even playing with them in a child-like manner and treating them like dolls. However, these sudden bouts of kindness never last long, and Y'vaohrra has full control of her victim's lives within her realm. Meaning that she has become quite creative with her means of torture.

Summoning Y'vaohrra:
Summoning the Goddess of Madness directly is impossible. It can only be done accidentally if one performs a summoning ritual for any other god, incorrectly. This will cause Y'vaohrra to manifest in the real world in her true form, which resembles a colossal harlequin clothed in yellow and black. In all accounts Y'vaohrra has manifested in an infuriated state, possibly die to being unwillingly dragged into the world of mortals and having her sadistic games interrupted. This is peculiar because when one summons a deity into the world it is a willing bargain between said deity and the sorcerer who called them. Y'vaohrra's summoning functions like the summoning of elementals (or atronachs as they're sometimes called).
Regardless, when Y'vaohrra comes into the land of mortals she can only remain there for the brief period of 6 minutes, in which she will assault the closest settlement or group of people, stomping them to death or even eating them. Cyclopes that have been attacked by her have proven to be immune to her flashes of yellow light, oddly, and will fight back with varying degrees of success. Y'vaohrra has never been able to successfully kill a cyclops.

Origins:
During the mid First Era there was a traveling show named: "Heinrich Meyer's Circus." Under the leadership of its namesake the circus travelled the continent, bringing entertainment to the masses in the form of various acts, stunts and oddities. This circus was one of the most successful throughout the land, an undeserved achievement due to the abuse that occurred behind closed doors. Such as the story of a young mentally ill girl named Meredith.
A demented child, sick from birth and abandoned by her parents. Indeed, Meredith was never right in the head, and the man named Heinrich knew this all too well. He gave her the humiliating job of being one of his circus clowns, making money at her expense and taking advantage of her every delusion. For years Heinrich took Meredith with him on many many performances, abusing her whenever he could and torturing her with rusty chains. People paid good money to see all sorts of freaks and oddities in his circus, and Meredith was merely a simple pawn in his business.
She cried herself to sleep constantly, sharing her tent with dirty animals and grotesque creatures owned by the old man. She slept in cage most of the time, only being allowed a decent meal and blankets when Heinrich found her desirable.
Then one night as the clock struck midnight, Meredith saw a bright burning yellow star fall from the sky, crashing into the forest behind the circus grounds with a loud and tremulous boom. Captivated by the xanthous glow beyond the trees she quickly used a sharpened chicken bone to pick the lock of her cage, running into the woods as the wolves howled behind her.
Enthralled by bright burning yellow flames, Meredith made her way through the blackened wood as the eyes of the forest stared down at her. Still in her fool's garb and clown makeup, Meredith ran through the darkness in a hurry, heeding the voices that beckoned her home. She approached the smoldering crater and slid down the earthen slope without hesitation, finding the grotesque remains of a dying creature from beyond her world.
Curious she picked it up and started talking to it. "Did the little birdie fall from its nest? Don't worry. Mommy will take care of you." She said to the writhing mass of blackened flesh and tentacles that stuck to her hand while burning yellow eyes stared back at her, filling her mind with the words: "Consume us. Consume us..." And so, Meredith did just that.
She sat down at the center of the crater as the bright light of torches approached from the distance. She heard Heinrich's voice call out to her as she chewed the creature's bulbous flesh, causing her to tear up in the process. But as she consumed the alien flesh that lay before her, Meredith had an immediate and violent reaction, as her body began to assimilate her prey. She began to scream in immense pain as her body began to forcefully change. Her bones reconfigured themselves and her skin became one with her clothing. Her makeup became her face, and a dozen eyes opened for her.
Following the screams, Heinrich and his men arrived at the crater, shining their torches at the young girl. "Meredith! What are you doing here girl? Meredith...?" He called out as her head began to turn around completely. Her teeth now sharpened fangs on a pale white face scarred by blackened void. White soulless eyes pierced his own as she lunged at him, tearing at his flesh with her blackened nails. His men left him on the spot, screaming as Meredith tore open her own abdomen, pushing out a mass of writhing tentacles from deep within her flesh. Heinrich could only scream in terror as the tentacles dragged him into her body, never to be seen again.

Mad Meredith's Circus:
Due to not knowing a life outside Heinrich Meyer's Circus, Y'vaohrra hosts her own circus as a means to satisfy her sadistic cravings and collect unwilling slaves for her private use within the Yellow Rooms. A rare occurrence, this circus appears overnight, usually close to a settlement inhabited by poor peasants and farmers. Fliers are handed out and the circus is advertised as a cheap night full of entertainment and joy. Those who apply for a job at said circus will be immediately harvested by Y'vaohrra, though some of the female applicants are turned into her demented thralls. These are the clowns and harlequins that perform alongside Y'vaohrra on stage.
The entire performance has three acts, which function as a long demented spell designed to erode at the audience's sanity by exposing them to increasingly bizarre acts and bright flashes of maddening yellow light. The show begins at sundown, and lasts until the clock strikes midnight. At which point Y'vaohrra will have collected every audience member and every entity within the circus grounds will spontaneously combust, causing the entire circus to burn to the ground, leaving no trace of its presence. Its acts are as follows:

Act I:
The ringmaster takes the stage midst a bright yellow flash and bows to the bewitched crowd as they applaud, snapping her fingers and igniting a ring of fire around the stage. Explosions of confetti and blood burst out of the edges of the stage in a star pattern as the Ringmaster proceeds to vomit out hordes of clowns and harlequins as if they were a torrent of flesh and cloth, quickly growing to full size and taking their place alongside her. She will then take five of these clowns and separate them from the group, only to slice open their bellies with her nails and disembowel them. The clowns will then begin using their entrails to produce music that sounds like what you would typically hear in any regular circus, only heavily distorted and eerie. These clowns remain throughout all three acts, performing their distorted music accordingly.
The opening act will then continue as harlequins take the center stage and perform an arcane dance with yellow flames, revealing hanging trapezes and hoops, a seesaw, and several cannons. The clowns will then begin marching around these props as the harlequins move into position, staging an elaborate act in which one harlequin stands on one end of the seesaw while the others climb on top of each other to ultimately jump onto the other end of the seesaw, sending the harlequin flying onto the trapeze above. The seesaw is then removed and clowns begin to juggle fireballs and move the cannons into position. The crowd cheers and claps as this act gets progressively out of hand as more and more harlequins are thrown upwards while having a mage battle, casting bright yellow fireballs at each other while still performing various flips and acrobatics. All the while the clowns on the stage below perform a series of stunts in which they launch themselves at each other by means of the cannons and swing swords at one another in midair.
With a loud bang and a yellow flash, the harlequins blow each other to pieces with magefire, raining down blood, gore and severed limbs onto the clowns bellow, who begin to incorporate the chunks of cloth and flesh into their juggling. The clowns being launched are then intentionally shot at each other and blasted to pieces in a shower of fireworks and gore. The falling chunks are also incorporated into the clown's juggling. At that The Ringmaster takes center stage once more and tears open her own stomach, releasing a mass of writhing tentacles that catch the severed limbs in midair and swallows them. The crowd cheers and claps even louder as the ringmaster snaps her fingers and every clown that remains spontaneously combusts, bringing an end to the circus' opening act with a bright yellow flash.

Act II:
It begins with a single clown walking up onto the center of the stage. She bows to the cheering crowd as two others come in with an aggravated, caged lion. The clowns then begin to burst out in laughter as they release the beast, which proceeds to pounce on one of the clowns. The beast clasps its maw onto her neck and begins to maul her, tearing at her flesh and ripping out her intestines with its claws. As this happens, every clown on stage laughs hysterically, even the limp broken corpse beneath the feline. A minute passes, and the remaining two clowns walk up to the lion and take hold of it, one by the tail and one by the nose. In an instant they pull, and turn the animal inside out, splattering all of its organs onto the ground, which are mostly lungs and hearts. The crowd will then cheer unanimously as the two clowns begin to consume the animal's insides, quickly becoming pregnant and going into labor. Each clown then births one half of their recently mauled friend and the two then bind the two halves with spit. At that all three clowns have a chuckle, bow, and leave the stage with a juvenile skip.

Act III:
The Ringmaster takes the stage once more with a dozen smiling clowns.
Using her scepter she taps each clown on the abdomen, instructing them to start balancing themselves on top of each other. The clowns thus begin to stack themselves in increasingly bizarre ways, such as by the hair or nails, while bending in heavily contorted positions to resemble branches and roots. The audience claps in unison as the ringmaster begins cutting open the girls one by one, fashioning their hanging intestines with her scepter to create the image of a tree of corpses, with their entrails being the foliage. Additional clowns enter at this point and the ringmaster begins to hang them by their necks using the entrails. She then waves her scepter at them and they begin to spontaneously combust, exploding violently onto the audience and drenching them in blood and fire as they cheer and clap regardless of the horrifying things they have witnessed throughout the night. With their scorching farewell, the clowns on stage release one last blinding flash of yellow light from their mouths and eyes, finalizing the maddening spell that has been slowly burning away the audience's sanity.
At this point the Ringmaster bows and two clowns enter the stage. These then begin to drag the audience members one by one onto the stage as the ringmaster tears open her corset, releasing a writhing mass of tentacles from her split flesh. The clowns then begin to shrink the audience members and chuck them at the Ringmaster in a bizarre feeding event which sees her catch them in various skillful ways. Once the cheering audience is devoured and silenced, the Ringmaster proceeds to consume the clowns, and then herself, as the circus tent burns down.
