My submission for Project Designer Week 3...

In keeping with the old hollywood glamour I did a bias cut gown that was simple and elegant. It silk satin charmuese with silk georgette accents on the ends of the bows/knots. The back has a low hip slung knot with an exposed back.
For my modern twist I used a punchy pink color. To top things off I gave her a pink (fake) fur stole with lime green undertones. I really wanted the colors to stand out against her skintone. I had no inspiration in particular aside from this weeks theme, I drew what came to me. Also, in my drawing technique I decided to do a more loose sketchy type style.

THE CHALLENGE:
Your next challenge is to design a cocktail dress(can be floor length) for your model. She has just become a movie goddess and you need to design her a dress for her debut down the red carpet. The paparazzi will be there so make sure her back view is extraordinarily fabulous, as well as the front. She wants to look like a movie star from the old Iconic Silver Screen. Think Audrey Hepburn, Marylin Monroe, and Frank Sinatra, but modern as well.
