Description “Day 55 of featuring a variety of creatures, truly it has been an interesting experience to say the least. Now with 6 days remaining I bring you the Reagle.”
“Reagle; [Ree-guhl]”
“Quite the charming fellow, Reagles are a species of bird that managed to maintain its dinosaur-like appearance all this time. Physically resembling a velociraptor, Reagles boast much larger wings than their primitive parents. They fly all the same, if not better, when compared to typical birds. Despite this, they typically live on the ground, where they rely on their claws and pack tactics to survive. Physical characteristics aside, Reagles are much more interesting due to their unique social structure. They may look prehistoric, however Reagles boast a social structure similar to capitalist ideals, with a class system and economy and everything. A Reagle economy has an interesting form of currency, small seeds from the Golden Bill Berry Bush, a typically unremarkable plant. Frankly it is unknown how this anomalous social behavior came to be, but it truly is a wonder to behold.”

“Pheasant; [Fez-uhnt]”
“The most common variant of Reagles out there, Pheasants are typically found in forests and grasslands. Pheasants have an average lifespan of 12 years, with an average size of 2 feet or 0.61 meters. Physically, Pheasants are very similar in color as their same named counterpart. With major differences arising from the physical attributes that a Reagle has. Reagle Pheasants have sexual dimorphism, with the males boasting large sizes and brighter colors. Although the female has higher overall stamina, the male has greater speed. Which isn’t saying much as these Reagles are incredibly fast, both on the ground and in the sky. Additionally, Pheasants have an affinity towards Galern Magic, albeit a minor one. Reagle Pheasants are known for their opportunistic nature and go get em attitude. Despite this Pheasants make up the lowest rung of the Reagle social structure, with many working under Reagle Roosters for share in survival. Socially, Pheasants live in large groups together, relying on each other for overall survival. However, they are not strangers to infighting for resources.”

“Rooster; [Roo-ster]”
“The more recognized variant of Reagles, Roosters are often found in grasslands or even found in other civilizations on rare occasions. Reagle Roosters have an average lifespan of 18 years and an average size of 4 feet and 7 inches or 1.40 meters. Physically these Reagles gain their namesake from their shared feather coloration as common roosters, even bearing similar wattles as their same named counterpart. Not as fast as Reagle Pheasants, Roosters boast much higher intellect and cunning overall. With general increased strength and skill in Galern Magic as well. In how Pheasants are opportunistic, Reagles are deceptively smart, often cheating or tricking other Reagles for their own profit. The upperclassmen of the Reagle’s rigid social structure, Roosters make up a small portion of the society but boast the largest sums of Golden Bill Berries. They are often lazy and lethargic otherwise, having a legion of Pheasants perform their survival needs for a fraction of their wealth. Socially, Roosters live in small groups or in solace. Despite their frankly cut throat nature of problem solving, Roosters have a knack of having another Rooster’s back in order to keep themselves in power.”

“Not remarkably powerful nor remarkably mystical, Reagles would often go overlooked by many. However, Reagle’s surprisingly modern ideals and behaviors make these otherwise ancient species have a connection to most civilizations and societies in the current age. Interestingly, instead of researching the origin of this intriguing behavior posed by Reagles, many view Reagles as a reflection of themselves sent by a higher power to realize the faults in the system. With some civilizations undergoing major social shifts due to it. Now I for one enjoy the impact of these creatures, but I can’t help but point out that many other species share similar social structures and behaviors when introduced to the required resources. Frankly none to the extent of Reagles, but the point still stands. If the gods really did want to send a message this would be the fifth or fourth sign.”
