Project 100 Sword 01 "Makoto" Kamiizumi Nobutsuna

~Character profile~
Son of a powerful feudal lord, he started training in martial arts at a very young age. Despite having everything he wanted, he suddenly left home at age of 14.

By the time he reappeared, his country was in a state of civil unrest as it was split between feudal lords vying to get more power from the Emperor, and another faction that supported the Emperor.

He fought under his father who was the leader of the loyalist faction and soon gain a reputation for his deadly skill with blades. He soon don his famous red armor after a vicious battle in which his armor was so stained in blood that he decided he shall just stick to red and black armors.

His reputation was further enhanced when he defeated a number of famous generals, both in single duel and in the chaos of a ongoing battle. And soon he was reputed to be invincible in battle at the age of 21.

He later served in a unit that will protect the Emperor in battles and that was when the Emperor took note of his abilities

After the war, he joined the personal army of the Emperor against his father wish. His father who had just became the most powerful man after the Emperor, feared that his son will prove to be a hinderance in his own quest for power.

Soon he was disowned by his father who claim he was fake, and his real son had already pass away after he disappeared. The Emperor who himself feared the fearsome warrior, decreed that he shall be exiled from the land by means of a small raft into an open unknown sea.

~Side notes~
His current armor was a gift from the Emperor, it was red in most areas and binded by golden threads. Part of the armor is still stained with blood which could not be clean off

In the Emperor personal army, a few distinct personels who had served with distinction was given the Title of "Makoto" and he was one of them.

He got no prefered way of fighting with his katanas, due to the fact that he never study in any major school during his disapperance. Sometimes he used a single katana, while on another event he used 2.

His two katanas were of unknown orgins, but their strength were unparrallal in combat, in fact he claimed that they can cut down demons.

~Some personal notes~
Since this was a redrawn character design of a previous design, I decided not to cheat and gave both design the same number. Kinda fun doing these two pieces considering that Rurouni Kenshin was once my favourite manga.

And he is named after a historial swordman, so please don't be confused, the historial one is a bald swordman.

And the Makoto sign was a tribute to my favourite group of Samurais, the Shinsengumi
