I was experimenting here and there... These light spot thingies are so hard!!! XD Just a random pic, hope ya guys like! I was too lazy to draw my own cat... Yeah...I kinda killed the eyes there...Comments anyone?

For the backround, i just make a layer, paint the whole thing green, and then use the dodge tool to make things lighter. (I use Adobe Photoshop 7, because I'm too poor for anything better. I'm pretty sure Adobe Photoshop 7 is free, but I forgot, cause I got it a long time ago. XD)
Photoshop also lets you choose a leaf brush, so i dropped some around to make it look nicer.XD
Basically all the light tones and stuff are made by the dodge and burn tool. Dodge tool makes things lighter, and burn tool makes things darker. So at first, I just color the lineart in flat color. Then, I go ahead and use the Dodge and Burn tools to add the tones. Voila~ XD
Kinda hard to explain...I'm still learning about these stuff... I know for sure GIMP is free. X3 If you ever get photoshop, note me and I'll tell ya what I know! XD
