They aren't really white, they are actually blue but really, really pale. The wristlet is the firsr gift he ever got from a real genuine friend so it means a lot to him, and of course he loves the flower on it. He basically loves anything that has depictions of flowers on them.

I gave him bright blue eyes to contrast with the orange of his wings, but in his updated design, his wings have more than three colors now. I cant wait to share his updated look. Insects are a minority group in my AU so butterfly characters are not as plentiful as mammal characters, who are the dominating population. So Saffron is always eager to meet other butterflies and even moths. Its a sort of vague attempt to find kinship with others who share in his species, but he likes friends of all kinds of breeds and species. He's a very friendly person. And despite the fact that he does have sharper instincts, his desire for friends and family is something that can and has been used against him. People can be so cruel. but sometimes a painful lesson works best so as not to be easily forgotten; if something or someone feels dangerous, then chances are your wild instincts are something you shouldn't ignore.

Oh, I also forgot. If there seems to be a rather childlike naivety about him, its because he's still a kid. Between 15 and 16. Around there. I hope to post more art of Saffron sometime soon.
