Ha, no problem, I love this show and I'd love to contribute in any way to save/promote/keep it circulating around the fandom. ^^ May I just tell you that these books look amazing? ^^
As for the Uprising style, while I am by no means an expert, I've found it helps to (only for practice, not for actual use) trace over a still, just to help get a feel for the proportions of the characters and why certain things were done the way they were. Maybe that'll help a little....?

Thank you for the compliments on the books. They were made to be simple and effective as possible - both in durability, but also in their references to each character.
Thank you for the drawing suggestion; it's always good to offer advice. I have a slough of reference files, grouped to character, location, or type - and I refer to them quite constantly. I've actually gone through about three sketchbooks just trying to get used to the Uprising style; and I do my best to use every inch of each side of a page.
I'm finally approaching some sort of drawing type I'd call myself 'confident' over, but there's still more than plenty for me to learn. However, the upside is that I can finally start to move past studies into something resembling comics, or other material that I can more readily share with fellow fans. Recall the mention of three sketchbooks: there's more than enough notes and ideas all built up in there to keep me busy for a good, long while.
I've been sure to keep in touch with the rest of the TRON fan community, and although I can be rather shy, I find it a great group. If you use Twitter at all, I could easily direct you to a few good names who form the core of the active fans there.
Either way, I try to keep to my sketching/study as much as I can. Alas, any project and effort is bound to move at the speed of free time... Which isn't always fast.
Thanks again, Mariposa! It's good to hear from a fellow fan.

Greetings again, Kai-ni. Thank you for your continued interest.
It has been a long while, yes - and in that time, there has been one thing blocking my path, and that is my lack of skill with rendering the major characters of Uprising by hand, true-to-form. Of course, in that time, the process has become much more smooth and closer to a proper stylization.
The project still stands, and I'd love to see it in the fans' hands. Already they have been, the Book of Beck to two Cons, and the Book of Tron to another, and to Boxleitner himself.
All fan-work is welcome in the books, be one a writer, painter, sketching/drawing artist, or photographer... I've simply made the books. The true wonder will be seeing them full of fans' contributions, providing they make it through the long journey.
I find that the trouble is that people, given a choice of 'add whatever you like, any support you have for anything Tron!' most will draw a blank - so, I am hoping to make some of my own short additions to the book, before they go; a kind of creative index, if need be. Certainly I'd encourage fellow fans to be as expressive and creative as they like.
Until then, I have to hunker down and try to refine my skills, and for a realist/non-illustrator like me, that's a steep learning curve.
Take care, Kai-ni. I'm glad for any thoughts you have to share.
