Gratuitous skirt shot.So you can see how large and fluffy it is
And I actually don't look bad in this photo
Festooning myself with the bracelets was fun. I don't wear jewelry normally, but I've amassed a collection of bracelets which were given to me.

with difficulty...
basically, each tier is a long strip (very very long - 1.5 times the length of the tier above.)
So I started out with one that was a bit bigger than my waist/hip measurement, and then continued on from there. I had to gather each tier so that it would fit the one above, and I used a thread pull method (you sew through with loose stitches and then pull the end threads so it crinkles up to desired size.)

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain. But what can I say, I like to make things difficult for myself
You could make it easier..by..cutting a whole lot of squares at the same time (I don't know why I didn't do this), or by using bigger squares (mine were 13cm by 13cm), or by using a serger, or using elastic to gather. Or making it shorter.

The measurements are in inches which sucks for me cause I don't really do inches but I worked it out.
You just use regular cotton. Well I guess you can use different stuff (like wool for a winter one) but it needs to be something you can iron (not synthetic!) and it's generally better if the fabrics are all the same weight.
