This is really cool-looking! It may be beyond my meagre skill level, but I might give it a try sometime!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'll be making a plush Lord Monochromicorn (from the genderbent episode of Adventure Time!) and he needs a realistic head and legs. This is wonderful, thank you again!

Thank you so much for the tutorial, I hope I can put it to good use soon.
But after I get used to the pattern and I wanted to try something stupid...say, adding wings or extra legs, would you have any suggestions/tips to make such a feat easier?
Happy New Year!

I would get one, but I am not willing to pay 50$ for a stuffed animal. XD

do you know if these patterns will also work for a more plush and furry fabric? once i get some money and free time, I would love to attempt a couple for some friends and myself, but i'd like to use a fabric other than felt.

Until now, I can't if it's helpful or not for I haven't tried yet^^ But I think I will as I have already sewed some horses. But these are indeed more complicated. That's what I need^^ Thanks a lot

do you hand stitch them or do you use a sewing machine?
i'm very interested! it's about time i start sewing more than buttons and simple repairs again!^^

They're hand stitched. it's a little difficult to sew three dimensionally with a machine

ooh this is making me want to do plushies again!!
your way of doing manes is so much better than mine. I get little lengths of thread, tie a knot in the middle of each one and through the knot onto the needle and thread, and stitch them in as I stitch the back of the neck. Crap way of doing it! Mind you cos mine are only teeny plushes, I don't need to use so many strands.
I am understanding how you do it now, sections at a time... I'm stuck in this mindset that I have to have 2 halves, right and left, which means things don't always line up... plus then there's underpieces and such, and I just get too confused lol.
going to read pt2 now!
